Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip have killed at least 17 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and destroyed bulldozers and other heavy equipment supplied by intermediaries to clear the rubble.
Two people were killed in separate attacks on Lebanon.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump spoke by phone today, two weeks after the two met in Washington.
Trump wrote on his Twitter account that the two discussed, among other things, trade and relations with Iran.
"The call went very well, we are on the same page on every issue," Trump wrote.
Netanyahu's office did not comment, but his "hastily" arranged visit to Washington was not considered a success as he appeared to fail to secure the support he wanted from Trump on issues such as preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons, reducing tariffs, Turkey's influence and the war in Gaza.
