At least 55 people, including six members of the same family, were killed this morning in Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip, Palestinian sources announced a new death toll this evening.
An Indonesian hospital in Jabalia said earlier today that it had received the bodies of nine victims after an Israeli attack on a police station in the city in the northern Palestinian territory.
The Israeli military confirmed that it had carried out an attack in the area, specifying that it targeted "terrorists operating in the Hamas and Islamic Jihad command and control center."
A second airstrike on a house in the northern part of Gaza City killed a family of six, a married couple and their four children, the Civil Defense said, adding that six more people were killed in the house.
Several other attacks killed at least 40 people, notably in Khan Yunis, Al Zawaida and Gaza City.
