Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said today that the country's military will ensure that Iran can no longer threaten it, and that it is preparing a specific execution plan to do so.
Katz stated that the military must prepare at the intelligence and operational levels to ensure that the Air Force maintains its air superiority over Tehran.
On June 13, Israel launched a massive airstrike on Iran, targeting mainly nuclear facilities, to which Iran responded by launching missiles and drones.
The ceasefire came into effect on June 24th.
Israel has announced that its goal is to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, which Tehran has denied, and to reduce its ballistic missile arsenal.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to prevent Iran from rebuilding its nuclear facilities, which would increase the possibility of renewed conflict.
According to reports in some Israeli media, the country's leaders want to adopt a similar approach to the one they adopted in Lebanon.
The Israeli military regularly carries out attacks on what it says are suspected targets and operatives of the militant group Hezbollah in Lebanon, even though the two sides signed a ceasefire agreement in late November last year.
During the conflict with Iran, Israel announced that it had been hit by more than 50 missiles, killing 28 people, while more than 900 people died in Iran in Israeli attacks.
