At least two people have died in a series of earthquakes that hit Guatemala, a civil protection official in the Central American country said this morning.
A disaster management agency official said two people died when their vehicle was buried in a landslide on a road southwest of the Guatemalan capital.
The quakes were magnitudes 4,8 to 5,6, at shallow depths, the US Geological Survey said.
Earthquakes caused material damage.
The earthquakes were also felt in neighboring El Salvador.
