The Gaza Strip's civil defense service said on Monday that 18 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes in the Palestinian territory devastated by 21 months of war, including two women killed near an aid center.
Most were killed in the bombardment of the northern Gaza Strip, the Civil Protection Service said, which also reported the deaths of six people in an attack on a tent in Gaza City.
Hamas has announced the death of Mohammed Faraj al-Ghul, a former minister in the movement's government in Gaza and a member of Hamas's political leadership.
