North Korean leader Kim Jong Un expressed his "unwavering" commitment to developing China-North Korea relations, regardless of the international context, in a conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping, North Korean news agency KCNA reported today.
Kim Jong Un met with Xi Jinping yesterday, following talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday.
The "friendly feelings" between North Korea and China will not change, no matter how the international situation develops, Kim said, according to KCNA.
North Korea will "always unswervingly support" China's efforts to defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity and its interests, Kim said.
The Chinese president also said that China's commitment to developing relations will remain constant, regardless of how the international situation develops.
"The friendship between the people of North Korea and China remains constant," said Kim, who noted that he had been given a "warm welcome" in Beijing, Chinese state television CCTV reported.
