The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip reported at least 45 people killed yesterday in Israeli airstrikes in the Palestinian territory.
It was previously reported that 33 people were killed in Israeli strikes in retaliation for what they said were Hamas attacks on their forces in which two soldiers were killed.
Israel and Hamas accuse each other of violating the ceasefire that has been in effect since October 10th.
"At least 45 people were killed as a result of Israeli airstrikes on several locations in the Gaza Strip," Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Bassal said.
Četiri bolnice u Pojasu Gaze potvrdile su taj broj ubijenih za AFP, rekavši da su primile i mrtve i ranjene.
The Israeli military announced last night that it would halt attacks on the Gaza Strip, in accordance with a ceasefire, after carrying out dozens of deadly strikes.
