The US military said today that it recently destroyed 15 sites containing Islamic State (ISIS) weapons depots in southern Syria.
According to Reuters, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that US and Syrian forces identified and destroyed storage facilities throughout the Rif Damascus province during multiple airstrikes and ground detonations carried out from November 24 to 27.
"The joint operation destroyed over 130 mortars and rocket launchers, multiple assault rifles, machine guns, anti-tank mines, and materials for making improvised explosive devices," CENTCOM said in a statement.
