US President Donald Trump said "something will be resolved" regarding Greenland, after the foreign ministers of Denmark and Greenland indicated that there were still fundamental disagreements with the US over the Arctic territory.
Earlier in the day, the foreign ministers met at the White House with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President J.D. Vance.
"Greenland is very important to national security, including the security of Denmark," Trump said, according to Reuters.
"And the problem is that Denmark can't do anything about it if Russia or China want to occupy Greenland, but we can do anything. You found that out last week with Venezuela," he added.
