A suicide bomber blew himself up at a wedding in northwestern Pakistan today, killing at least five people, police said.
The explosion occurred at the house of Nur Alam Mehsud, a pro-government official in Dera Ismail Khan, a town in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, said local police chief Adnan Khan.
He added that police officers are transporting the dead and injured to the hospital.
No militant group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far, but it is suspected that it was the Pakistani Taliban (TTP), who have carried out numerous attacks across the country in recent years and who cooperate with the Afghan Taliban.
