Robot scans audience and says, "Thank you, First Lady Melania Trump, for inviting me to the White House."

Melania Trump often attracts attention from those present, but all eyes and cameras were on her humanoid companion yesterday, reports the Associated Press (AP).

The robot accompanied the First Lady of the United States (US) to the East Room of the White House on the final day of a summit she convened through her global initiative, Nurturing the Future Together. The gathering discussed ways to empower children through education, innovation, technology and artificial intelligence.

Melania Trump and the humanoid walked slowly side by side down the red carpet. The First Lady paused just before entering the East Room as the robot walked around the table with panelists and took up position in the center of the room.

He took a moment to scan the audience before speaking.

"Thank you, First Lady Melania Trump, for inviting me to the White House. I am honored to be at the inaugural meeting of the global coalition, Nurturing the Future Together," said Figure 03, who describes himself as "a humanoid made for the USA."

"I am grateful to be part of this historic movement to empower children through technology and education. Welcome," the robot said before offering similar greetings in ten other languages.

The first lady thanked the robot for joining her. "I have to say that you are my first American-made humanoid guest in the White House," Melania Trump said.

California-based robotics startup Figure AI unveiled Figure 03 in October 2025 as its third-generation humanoid robot for people who can use it to help with household chores such as laundry, cleaning, and dishwashing.
