Health officials: At least four Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza

At least four Palestinians were killed in Israeli military strikes in the Gaza Strip today, health officials in the enclave said, Reuters reports.

Medics said an airstrike by Israeli forces killed one person near the central village of Al-Mugraka, while Israeli gunfire and tank shelling killed two more people near Gaza City.

In another incident, Israeli forces shot and killed a 40-year-old woman in Khan Yunis, in the south of the territory, health officials said.

The Israeli military said it was verifying reports of attacks. Separately, it said it had struck and killed several Hamas militants in Gaza since Friday.

Violence in Gaza has continued despite the October 2025 ceasefire, with Israel carrying out almost daily attacks on Palestinians.

At least 800 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire agreement came into effect, according to local doctors, while Israel claims militants have killed four of its soldiers in the same period.

Israel and Hamas accuse each other of violating the ceasefire.

More than 72.500 Palestinians have been killed since the start of the war in Gaza in October 2023, the majority of them civilians, according to Gaza health authorities.

Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023 killed 1.200 people, according to Israeli figures.
