UAE forces intercept two drones from Iran, Israeli army kills two medical workers in Lebanon, one person in Gaza

The United Arab Emirates said its air defenses had intercepted two drones sent from Iran.

It added that since the beginning of the Iranian attacks earlier this year, a total of 551 ballistic missiles and 29 cruise missiles have been intercepted.

A statement from the UAE Ministry of Defense also states that 2.265 drones were intercepted during the same period, Al Jazeera reports.

In Lebanon, at least two emergency medical workers were killed and five were wounded in Israeli strikes that the Lebanese Ministry of Health said directly targeted two emergency centers in the Bint Jbeil district.

One paramedic was killed and three people were wounded in an Israeli attack on Qalaviya, while another paramedic was killed and two people were wounded in Tibnin.

"The Israeli enemy continues to violate international laws and humanitarian norms, adding new crimes against paramedics," the ministry said.

One person was killed and four injured in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, local health authorities said.

The death toll from Israel's aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 2023 has risen to 72.737, while 172.539 people have been wounded, according to medical sources.

It is added that a certain number of victims are still buried under the rubble and in the streets, as emergency and civil protection teams cannot reach them due to the current conditions on the ground, reports the Vafa agency.

Sources also said that since the ceasefire on October 11, the total number of deaths has reached 851, while the number of wounded has risen to 2.437, with another 770 bodies pulled from under the rubble.
