Chinese President Xi Jinping told American business leaders visiting with US President Donald Trump today that China will open its doors wider to the world.
Trump is leading a delegation of more than a dozen business leaders on an official visit to China, including Nvidia chief Jensen Huang, Apple CEO Tim Cook and Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk. Xi spoke to them today after a two-hour bilateral meeting with Trump, the British Guardian reports.
"China's door to the outside world will be opened wider and wider... American companies will enjoy brighter prospects in China," Xi said during the US-China summit in Beijing, Chinese media reported.
After his initial talks with Xi, Trump visited the Temple of Heaven, and tonight the Chinese president is hosting a banquet for him.
Trump's visit to China ends tomorrow, and before that he will have another bilateral meeting with the Chinese president.
