Saudi Arabia said on Monday it had intercepted three drones after they entered its territory from Iraqi airspace, Reuters reported.
The kingdom's Ministry of Defense announced that it would take the necessary operational measures to respond to any attempt to violate its sovereignty and security.
Although hostilities during the conflict with Iran have largely subsided since a ceasefire took effect in April, drones have been launched from Iraq towards Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, according to Reuters.
