United States President Donald Trump said tonight that he had postponed a planned attack on Iran until Tuesday at the request of several Middle Eastern allies, as "serious negotiations" were underway.
He posted it on social media.
A day earlier, Trump warned Tehran that the "clock is ticking" to reach an agreement between Iran and the US.
It was his latest threat to the fragile ceasefire in the US-Israeli-Iran war that went into effect in mid-April.
Trump did not reveal details, but said he had instructed the US military to prepare for a possible "full-scale, full-scale attack on Iran."
