The United States (US) will take back enriched uranium from Iran at the "appropriate time," US President Donald Trump wrote last night on his Truth Social network, adding that this will happen when the situation in Iran calms down.
According to the US president, the memorandum of understanding with Iran, which is "scheduled" to be signed tomorrow, represents a "wall against nuclear weapons."
"In fact, they (the Iranians) no longer want nuclear weapons and will not obtain them, whether by purchase, development or any other form of acquisition," Trump said.
He added that the US "will, at the appropriate time, when all is calm, retrieve the enriched uranium, buried deep beneath the mighty granite mountains."
Iranian authorities have not confirmed that they will sign a memorandum of understanding with the US tomorrow.
