More than 260 people were wounded in the latest series of airstrikes by the United States (US) on Iran overnight, an Iranian Health Ministry official said today.
Ministry spokesman Hossein Kermanpour did not provide figures on the number of deaths overnight.
Iranian government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani said more than 30 people had been killed in the "last few days," without providing further details.
These significantly higher figures indicate that the bombing has intensified.
The US military reimposed a blockade of Iranian ports early this morning after Tehran attacked ships trying to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, prompting a new wave of shelling.
The conflict has escalated again in recent days, further undermining the fragile ceasefire agreements.
