The death toll from the twin earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24 has risen to 5.069, parliament speaker Jorge Rodriguez said, the British news agency Reuters reported on its website.
The number of injured remains unchanged at 16.740, while 17.907 people were left homeless as a result of the earthquake.
According to earlier data, 856 buildings were damaged.
The earthquakes that hit Venezuela were magnitudes 7,2 and 7,5.
