British band Oasis will also play new songs during their tour scheduled for 2027.
The band reunited last year for a series of sold-out stadium shows after a 16-year hiatus. While they don't plan on touring again until next year, fans are excited to finally hear the first of their new songs.
"Noel and Liam are taking a well-deserved break from touring this year to rest. But they know fans are eager for new songs and want to seize the moment while interest is at its peak," a source told The Sun.
During the break from touring, the band will spend time in the studio, working on new songs.
"Noel has been very busy writing, and they have a whole year to film. Last year he was particularly inspired and full of ideas," the source adds.
Noel Gallagher recently confirmed his return to the studio and joked that he will have to release songs soon, after being "embarrassed" by the reactions to his Songwriter of the Year nomination at the upcoming Brit Awards.
"I'm in the studio right now, but I better make an announcement. I'm embarrassed," he told TalkSport:
The guitarist added that he thinks the award was also given because it was the first time the ceremony was held in his hometown of Manchester.
"I haven't written a song in two years. I'm not sure how I got away with it, but I accept it. Honestly, I think they just wanted someone from Oasis because it's Manchester," he said. When asked why he won the award without any new songs, Noel replied:
"The Brit Awards are mostly based on album sales. Last year we sold a million copies. I haven't even moved off the couch and I'm not sure there's a songwriter who can top that. If anyone has a problem with that, find me there and we'll sort it out on the red carpet," he said.
