A television series about the life of the first lady Brigitte Macron is being filmed in France, which, according to sources close to her, she learned about from the media.
Production company Gumon (Gaumont) announced that the series "Brigitte, a single woman" will follow the "life journey" of the wife of French President Emmanuel Macron.
The series will begin with the first meeting of the couple, said one of the screenwriters.
Brigitte Macron met her current husband when she was his teacher in high school.
The couple married in 2007, when Macron was 29 and Brigitte was 54.
She continued to teach for a while, but quit in 2015 when her husband entered politics.
Emmanuel Macron was elected president in 2017 and has held that position until today.

The French press describes her as one of only a few people whose criticisms and remarks the French president listens to and accepts.
The script for the series will be written by French writers Benedikta Charles and Olivier Pupono, the production company Gumon announced.
In a statement to the newspaper Figaro, co-writer Charles called the first lady of France "fascinating" and added that the idea was to show the "romantic dimensions of her fate."
Who will star in the series has not yet been announced.
"We are not connected to this project, we learned about it from the press," an anonymous source close to the first lady told Agence France-Presse.
Gumon is one of the leading French TV production companies, which, among other things, made the hit TV series "Lupen" (Lupine).
