What kind of world is emerging after the pandemic - from the huge economic crisis that is a certainty, through the growth of racial tensions and violence to fascist leaders - it is not impossible that we will soon look at the days of isolation and masks with a certain nostalgia...
As the virus subsides, the demons of the modern world play out.
The American images are deeply disturbing, but the unanimity of the reaction is hopeful. Some announcements about the elections (there will be theft, the army is ready) show that the American elections will start to look like the Montenegrin ones. And we, touchingly naive, hoped that it would be the other way around.
And the home field? It seems that the return to the everyday madness here is well underway. It's always like that: about Montenegro and other demons.
An interesting experiment is on the horizon. After the parliamentary events in Budva, as far as I understand, we got two, parallel Budva. Budva 17 and Budva 16. I knew that one Budva was not enough for Montenegro. That they will find a way to double it. Perhaps other Montenegrin cities will follow this path of doubling. And the whole of Montenegro, and like this there are at least two or three...
These two Budva seem so irreconcilable, although until recently they were in somewhat different assembly combinations, that it seems possible that in those two, parallel Budva, we even have different weather conditions on the same day. If it were clear in one Budva, and dark clouds and rain in the other... So the tourists would be in for a big win. If the weather is bad in your Budva, just go to the parallel Budva, and everything is idyllic and beautiful there. This experiment, if it goes in the right direction, could represent an authentic contribution of Montenegrin political reality to world theory and practice.
Where there is Montenegrin daily madness, there is also the Metropolitan of the SPC Amfilohije. Although he claims that he is not interested in politics, he invited people for whom to vote, that is, not to vote. However, he did not name a bad government. He says, don't vote for "this kind of government". Does he still hope that "this kind of government" could become "that kind", like from the time when they fiddled and shot together...
The position of president of the Jury for the highest national award went to a famous painter who a few years ago, when he entered the Jury, solemnly announced that "traitors will not pass". Which, of course, it was and remains, cheap demagoguery - it is not there to hand out political labels, but to value what has been achieved. He clearly explained what measurements he had in mind and how he would weigh. As long as statements like "Traitors will not pass" are the most important recommendation for selecting the president of the jury, this society is clearly legitimized as unfree and partitocratic. From today's point of view, it seems almost unbelievable that juries in the era of the "blackest" communist totalitarianism in Montenegro were significantly more measured and balanced than what is offered and shown to us today.

The media is constantly announcing the vaccine in a relatively short time, there is an absolute race between the pharmaceutical giants - the vaccine is now the Golden Grail of pharmacy, everyone is preparing to make good money... Of course, there is also China, which promises to give away the vaccine (which does not yet exist, by the way) to the world, to be a common good, Made in China.
However, pay attention to the detail - vaccines, despite all these announcements and promises - simply do not exist. It is not even that certain that it will be soon, as we have read.
Just as there is no vaccine against racism, fascism, violence, corruption, half-heartedness, nastiness, the world continues to exist. Such a one, the only one.
And we in Montenegro may know this better than anyone, the experience is a miracle - we will have to continue to live with all our demons...
