Forget pseudo-controversies, internet forums, the honorable Bill Gates and the "sinister influence of the deep state". From all over the world come texts and pictures about the not-so-simple public rejection of mass vaccination. Politicians are setting an example, they are the first to receive vaccines, a major action has begun, it is the first offensive response to the pandemic. Until now, we have only acted from a thick defensive: masks, distance, isolation... The time has come for action. And Montenegrins and Montenegro nowhere? How, please? When it was necessary to start an anti-fascist uprising, we were the first in Europe, and we are nowhere to be found with vaccination... There is something wrong here. We must have taken a wrong turn somewhere in the meantime.
Although, it is said, it is not that there is no talk about - vaccination. We also have some documents, national strategies. According to some, it seems that this is not enough. Vaccination? Well, clearly... Vaccination! Only, where are the vaccines? There is no vaccination without vaccines, at least until now it was not feasible, although this is Montenegro, who knows... So there is a problem: we would reduce vaccination faster than Israel, we just don't have - vaccines. Every little thing...
Well, where the hell are those vaccines, someone will say. At least the world is full of that - a few Chinese, two or three Russian, Cuban, a few American and British... There is a miracle of vaccines, what happened so that they are not available only here?
Wait, do you remember that the minister at the time clearly (and proudly) said that we finished everything and that we will get vaccines among the first…”Among the first”? That sounded suspicious even then.
The minister is now on the pole of shame - what happened to the vaccines? We don't have any concrete information, not even a hint, except for those vague announcements like "in the near future" and the like... What is it about?
The time is shortened by the adoption of this or that document, until the form is filled out.
It is not even crucial to whom to address the blame? Although it is mostly clear. The key information is that it should always be like this or similar here. Something always "disappeared" on the way to us, it was stolen by someone smarter...
How incompetent is this society (traditionally)? This is an essential question, because, as we said, this kind of thing happens all the time, it is not an incident, but a systemic impulse...
Was it really thought through and done properly? Or was that calculation also connected to the outcome of the election, so the defeat was "complimentary" to the post-election inaction? To leave as many problems as possible to the heirs? Is such awareness possible in today's Montenegro? Trumpism in the Montenegrin way. After me - fire. (And literally, although the head of the National Security Agency says - we know who started the fire. And do we know who messed up the vaccines?)
We have a relatively small population, Montenegro was almost ideal for measuring the level of immunization that brings herd resistance...
That is, with elementary serious people in their positions, with elementary seriousness of the system as such, things could, of course, have been much different and done better. The fact that we are small (Montenegro is small, but that does not affect its size, B. Baletić) did not necessarily have to be the reason that, as in everything, we are late.
From the whole vaccine situation, the citizen can understand his own political reality: it mostly depends on the ignorant. He himself is to blame for that, of course. If only some immunizations were feasible! However, it seems that herd immunity to stupidity is not possible.
