Hadn't the prime minister run for metropolitan? That would be the only meaningful explanation for the disturbing discursive excursion.

But let's go in order. Physics first. That this is one of those periods when this government strongly works against itself was hinted by a certain secretary Kandic, one of those who present the word "expert" in an increasingly unfavorable light. A drunk man caused a traffic accident in his official vehicle, luckily without any casualties.

And an insane action followed - the rescue of Secretary Kandić. The scandalous investigation and the behavior of the culprit show, I'm afraid, the same manners that we considered to be the hallmark of the "old" government. Even in terms of quoting, the "new" went to the limit - and here a "volunteer" was created, ready to claim that he drove the secretary's official car.

Is it possible to change the paradigm, when we see from day to day that change here is perceived exclusively as personal, and not a question of the fate and functioning of society. The one who allowed such a show to be made out of an accident must be unmasked and punished. Otherwise, don't talk about the changes anymore. It doesn't belong to you.

And just when you think he can't score a bigger own goal, Prime Minister Krivokapić appears and shares his metaphysical anxieties with the public. Layered slippage: everything is easy for you until the prime minister gets his hands on metaphysics.

In short: to a clear question from journalist Aleksandra Mudreša, addressed to him as "prime minister of all citizens and not a believer", about compliance with measures against the pandemic, we also heard the following: "I think that it cannot be defined by an earthly story. It is in the realm of metaphysics.” So what is in the domain of metaphysics? Respect for the measures or, on the other hand, his need to be exempt from the measures in this society, that is, more "equal".

If there is a word that is tainted by the fog of superficiality, it is the word metaphysics. A word doomed to misunderstandings, already from the very beginning. Aristotle's writings were given their name by the "editors" (Andronicus of Rhodes), since he was chronologically behind the writings Physics, so he was given a name Metaphysics (Behind Physics), and which will turn out to be a valid name for that part of philosophical thought that is directed to things beyond the sensible and visible. By the way, the most interesting translation of this word into our (common, four-name) language was given by Tomislav Ladan - "recalcitrance". One of De Chiric's most significant paintings is called "The Great Metaphysician".

Although the prime minister should be referred to the so-called mundane stories, here he gives the impression of someone who is somewhat disgusted by these "mundane stories", so that he delegitimizes his own position in the "mundane" reality in a lavish way.

Because, "it is not true that there is only an earthly world. That's what they taught us for 50 or 70 years... Please read, just take the Bible, the pictures you see there are pictures of life that can be applied at every moment of life... And on the other hand, you see that some other force is guiding it all".

Uh, uh, uh. You know the saying "Many books are not dangerous, one book is dangerous". Especially if one believes that all the answers are there.

And, my favorite: “If that's so then this life passes in one death which will happen... And what happens after that, if we are not specifically determined in faith for what is the basis of the resurrection". As far as I understand his logic, belief is the antidote to "death". Another sublime failure of biology. Amazing.

By the way, the word "death" used by the prime minister is not one you hear every day. According to the six-volume Dictionary of the Serbian-Croatian literary language (Matica srpaska edition), "končina" is "end, end, death".

In the end, he benevolently guaranteed (the Honorable Prime Minister) that he would not violate the measures.

But one should be careful. Perhaps the prime minister is like Zoro: a mundane prime minister by day and a beacon of the other world by night. My impression is that his guarantee refers only to the "mundane story" and not to the Prime Minister's metaphysical values.
