The current government is facing the challenge of a vote of confidence. And the situation is unusual: all members of the parliamentary majority swear that they will not overthrow the Government, and the opposition, which is behind the initiative, seems convinced that it has a sufficient number of deputies ready to vote for the fall of the Government. So someone is bluffing, in poker terms. We will soon find out who. Maybe they want to create a "victory atmosphere" for local elections? But questionable suspense aside, a vote of confidence in the government is one of those democratic mechanisms that are normal in a normal society. However, here everything that happens on the political stage must have elements of a theatrical performance (when it is a stage), so it is the same this time...
The Montenegrin situation is never simple, that must say something about us. There is always some dictate of a higher power, or a necessary context. Everyone who criticizes the government the most will vote for its survival, because anything is better than the return, they believe, of any kind of DPS. So, by all accounts, this Government will not be saved by the quality of its work, the unquestionability of its actions, but by mere fear.
It is never the way to a normal society and rational political relations.
Because a good part of the voters of the current opposition did, and still do, "believed" that. Đukanović, from - fear (of the enemy and the "enemies" of Montenegro), and not that this trust is a civic choice. So here only fear has majority support, trust that is unquestionable. And religious organizations, and that is essentially connected...
Let's reduce the matter now to the zone of the individual, quite personal. That is the job of a writer, at its most basic... The real question is - has this government earned your trust, dear reader? How is the Montenegrin government doing in your opinion?
When it comes to optimistic economic announcements, the Montenegrin citizen is like a cracked earth that hasn't been touched by water for years - he has been deceived and tricked so many times, but the beautiful announcements have played on his heart this time as well. The year behind this government was not easy. In addition to the fact that the government had opposition within its own parliamentary majority, it also had a strong "opposition" within itself. Opposition to reason, good taste and measure... Part of the government, especially the minister "Ani four pistols" and the minister boss Mitka, would be compromising for any government, even if it was headed by a skilled Benjamin Disraeli, the first Earl of Beaconsfield, not Mr Zdravko.
And, if you ask me, the best result of this government is - experiencing a new political reality. The political environment created by the former DPS could not be changed, it was petrified and immutable like - the Chinese alphabet. This government, if nothing else, has opened the gate of post-Depees Montenegro, and even the DPS will respond to that, one way or another (let them ask Escobar, if they don't believe), have to get used to it.
That is why, in fact, it is the right moment for our traditional "political farts" to be transformed into a rational political story and practice. In that world - many will not make it. Children need darkness to see the "witch" and believe in her. Any unraveling of the darkness is an important political act in Montenegro. "Let there be light, there will be more eyes", as he says Andrić.
Trust in institutions in Montenegrin society is traditionally thin anyway, and many of the moves of the current government were a harsh denial of elementary optimism regarding the Change.
