Leaders or Montenegro

It is unbearable the ease with which our leaders (conceited poltroons around the leader) justify and we accept their mistakes and delusions for granted.

From Jovan Vladimir to Milo Đukanović, our path of stumbling after various leaders that we as a society blindly followed. Our leaders have been a constant in our history. Sometimes the leaders were meaningful and then there were no thorns behind their feet, and we as a people could live better. And sometimes, like Domanović's people, we and its leader ended up in the abysses and abysses of this world. No matter what happened to us, we still blindly followed our leader.

After August 30, 2020, we have the continuation of that social practice, DPS is defeated, but the merciless fight for DPS's legacy continues. Unfortunately, that was not the electoral will expressed at the polls. CIVIS, as part of the Black and White coalition, did not participate in the electoral victory in order to enthrone new leaders and political parties, but on the contrary to change the way of political behavior and the structure of this country. Our expectations are not justified. On the contrary. During this time, we see the continuation of the party-related and dilettante politics of the winning parties, which, apart from the hollow national religious social narratives, does not even mention the principles that we as CIVIS incorporated into the electoral victory. How can we call the continuation of the employment practice, when the party that organizes the protests these days conditions new employment in a state-owned company with going to the protests, other than as a severe disappointment. This is something that CIVIS was against before the election and now that we are waiting for a new government.

It is unbearable the ease with which our leaders (conceited poltroons around the leader) justify and we accept their mistakes and delusions for granted.

In Podgorica, the people actually gather around the Assembly and the Government to support their political leaders. The leader said so. That's how it's supposed to be. The leader was never personally responsible for his failures, and his successes were celebrated by all kinds of people and erected monuments to them.

In order to stop, as a society, the practice of following our political leaders and finally take a step towards respecting the institutions of civil society, we must imperatively demand the assembly and the new government to urgently propose and adopt changes to the Labor Law that would introduce criteria and conditions for employment through public tenders for all jobs in the state. We also imperatively request from the new government a proposal to introduce a single material card for all adult citizens of Montenegro. We believe that this is the most effective way to break with the age-old practice immanent to all Montenegrin leaders. Otherwise, we will enter social regression and the inevitable return of tribal society.
