Vassals

It is impossible to hide that medieval resentment - nobles come to pay homage to the ruler... And he, like Emperor Dušan, cheers to him. Everything is like something from a monumental composition by Paja Jovanović from 1893, where you can count some 435 characters in as many different costumes. (There is also the Ravijojla villa, of course.) The national idyll, the favorite genre of mediocrity on all meridians, has its own clear and immutable laws.

A sad picture, actually. Montenegrin Serbianism is being falsified for the umpteenth time. You almost think it exists to be counterfeited. The old formulation of a great historian, who used to say that until today we have not explained "Podlovcen Serbia", is confirmed. Among other things, due to the fact that the so-called political elites have always believed more in the sword than in the book. That is why it is difficult to reach any form of understanding, and we are constantly in the zone of latent conflict.

A vassal, let's recall, in the Middle Ages was a petty feudal lord (local nobleman) in the service of a large feudal lord (the king). It is a simple equation, it works as a model even outside of the said historical-political context, but what is clear is that neither then nor now in that equation there is no place for the citizen.

Going to pay homage to the "motherland" also angered many Montenegrin Serbs, because people know what their motherland is, and they don't agree to the disgusting hoax that you are a Serb only if you obediently follow Vučić... And that Vučke is the president of all Serbs. Just as the same consciousness insists on the party linking Montenegro with the DPS, which many Montenegrin intellectuals lightly and short-sightedly "allowed". Along the way, showing an unprecedented will to persecute "traitors", which was surely "recognized" and rewarded "from the headquarters". ("Well if they remember them, they remember them.")

Let's go back to Vučić's obsession that he is "the president of all Serbs". That's why this whole parade was made. With this ridiculous gathering, he sent a message about how much of Montenegro he has already "swallowed". And it didn't stop him. He probably still needs to renew the "strange fruit" thing.

On the other hand, the episodic actors for this show were simply "caught". Call, just call... That is the spirit of feudalism: vassal and vassal consciousness. The vassal is only told, nothing is explained. Neither is the vassal able to question the mystical authority of the chief feudal lord, nor will he ask for an explanation.

However, the public, discursive "unmasking" of some local politicians seems particularly bland. So the mayor of Nikšić thought to say that those who criticize going to pay tribute to Vučić are the same as those who shoot children, referring to the recent tragic event in Kosovo. So, this young man tries to tell the public the following story: if you think that what he did was unworthy, you are in the rank of ordinary criminals. In a normal society, such a statement would be a valid reason for someone to leave the political arena permanently. Because that kind of toxic nonsense can be dangerous as hell. In some cases, the current announcements of Vučić's vassals in Montenegro seem to be a direct consequence of festive exaggeration of all kinds.

But it is what it is. It is not easy to explain to a vassal why his consciousness is vassal. These are deeper circumstances and conditioning. In the end, only a free man can explain anything.
