"Hand of Justice"

"Hand of justice"? And why not "The fight against corruption?" Or maybe - "Signed basic contract". Imagine, for example, sailing on a ship called - "Bravo se plovi". However, as things stand - to get on some ships you really need courage...

The idea that ships should be given pre-election slogans as names is probably quite new. Another unexpected discovery of ours. Fortunately, there is not much of a partitocratic consciousness in Montenegro. I can't imagine what would have happened otherwise.

There is usually a system in naming ships - we could almost read how in the company founded by the legendary Bokelj Bozo Dabinović all ships, even though the company's headquarters are in Monaco, bear the names of places in Bokele.

They could have chosen to name the ships after people's benefactors or great artists, after mountains or rivers... After the women who changed Montenegro, for example, I think that would be interesting. From Jelena Balšić i Princess Xenia do Stan Tomašević Arnesen i Darinka Matić Marović, let's say...

However, they chose something quite different. It already left with the ship "30. August" - an instant "historical date" (which in this context easily loses its meaning, quickly fades), so, to avoid confusion - "The Hand of Justice"? Sorry, but this looks like the ship naming committee is running on mescaline... or party fuel. And that sometimes manifests itself in a similar way.

Perhaps it is a pity that a true Montenegrin evergreen, which, it seems, from generation to generation, very successfully escapes from oblivion and hateful transience, like every true evergreen - "Thanks to the government", was not considered as a serious candidate. That's the right name for the next ferry.

I remember when we used to laugh at the daily refrain "Thank you to the government". That's where it all started, actually. At the end of the nineties, when Milo turned to the right side of history, suddenly you heard that note of thanks at every step. That's a problem - such people carry their manners with them everywhere, even on the "right side of history".

Remember - athletes win the title, immediately announce - Thanks to the government. Theatrical play wins the festival - Thanks to the government. Every economic success, we immediately hear - Thanks to the government. A high school student gets a kiss from a peer - Thanks to the government. That was as far as it went.

And, I'll remind you - we laughed about it. All together. With the end of the DPS era, we naively (eh, if that was the only naivety) believed that such public manners were over. They remain irreversibly in the past, like communist self-criticism, or medieval hygiene...

So that today, even students cannot go to a prestigious international competition without hearing "Thank you to the government". There is no way that the "leaders" (neither these, nor those before them) understand - that is not good. Smart children should not depend on the kindness and resourcefulness of any minister or politician, no matter how skilled they are in that kind of "solving" problems. Simply put - helping talented children must be the work of serious institutions, not an opportunity for funny-sad self-promotion. And dilettantism, in unpleasant amounts and at every step.

"Knife, wire, Podgorica." No, it's not the name of the new ferry... Fans, say.

When such people perceive you as an otherness that should be treated according to a recipe that invokes a hellish slogan - you must feel proud.

While those click it, it's good to be from Podgorica. When the mere mention of the name of this city causes such frustration and hatred that it deforms. After all, it is always more honorable to be among the persecuted than among the persecutors.

And, that is interesting, the political sponsors of this kind of consciousness really like to talk about reconciliation.

I have a feeling it would be reconciliation - until the last bullet.
