It seems that many parents are teaching their children to cheat rather than teaching them to learn. Under the spotlight and in front of the camera, the woman said in the show that she used to send tests to her relatives and that she is not sure she wouldn't do it again. Whatever happened. She confessed, she says goodbye, angry that she doesn't forget herself. All because of warm family ties. There is a name for it, a precise term, something that has been holding us back for generations, and it is simply called nepotism.
The rewriting affair said everything about the future of Montenegro. Test results are in. Generations are coming that will look you in the eye as they steal other people's hands. That's how they were taught, they saw that it works and that it pays off. They also saw that the punishments were mild or non-existent. What matters is what you deliver, not what you have in your head. At school, they behaved as they were taught at home. No knowledge, but no shame either.
"Everyone cheats!". That's the ultimate excuse for bullshitting. An excuse that erases and banishes everything. It brings those who strive, study and work honestly into a situation where they think they are crazy, that they are fools for not taking the detour "like everyone else". He is not crazy who wrote the graffiti at the Preko Morača school "Who studies will know, who steals will have".
On the street light poles you can see ads that say "Bugs". In the past, bugs used to represent crazy ideas, a wayward person was described as having "bugs in his head". Today, the bugs are miniature earphones, some are transparent or skin-colored, so that professors will notice them more.
The matriculation exam is one of the most important exams for students. The population census is a big exam for the country. But just as we cheated on the matriculation exam, a team of enumerators appeared and cheated on the census as well. They used special chemicals, the so-called "write and erase". It's a lovely name, it rhymes, it's memorable, it's meant to solve the problem when you make a mistake and want to do it again. It changes what we used to call concealer. Those chemicals were not made to create a problem, but the enumerators created it, because they used the chemicals for fraud.
There used to be chemical boxes tied with string in the voting booths, so that people wouldn't steal them. But, imagination did its thing, so people talked about how those chemical machines have a special ink with which when a certain number is circled, the ink fades and the ticket is marked as invalid or the committee writes whatever they want "when no one is looking". Paranoia quickly spread, so people brought their own chemises to vote, each one his own. And so, in 2023, real write-and-erase pens arrived, they are used, and the ink is sometimes visible and sometimes invisible. The handwriting doesn't burn, but the ink seems to rub off easily.
During the agricultural census in 2010, a man in Kuči, more precisely in the village of Bejovo, after the enumerators wrote down the data about his household, garden, livestock and poultry, he put his signature at the end with his flat ink pen, which is mostly used by bricklayers. . Proudly. He pointed, left a mark deep on the paper, almost pierced it. It meant for him to express himself not only through his signature, but through the tool he uses most often. And that's okay. It even makes sense, that signature is emotional and honest.
Our fortunately few enumerators must have been sloppy about the P2 forms, which refer to the ownership of the apartment. How many people will not sleep peacefully these nights? How many people will think that their data was embezzled. Who knows how many people are concerned about their property, although essentially those disputed enumerators have not advanced far in their fraudulent activities. The transcription on the list did not work for them.
It's a manner like that used by spies in the movies. Secret messages are written with lemon juice, so they appear when the paper is heated with a flame. Our case is the opposite. Our ink disappears, the marks fade, and inhumanity rises to the surface.
Those enumerators left a deep mark, let's hope that their (in)deed will not fade away, that it will not remain forgotten and unpunished. For example, to begin with.
