The famous "invisible hand of the market" has not come to life here. Adam Smith. The hand of justice did not rule either, even though the ferry was named that way. There were attempts, but that hand did not work. In Montenegro, some other hand was always stronger, hairy, then the first, then the only, fraternal, extended, but the hand of justice, it has been waiting too long. They say that justice is slow but attainable. It's a small consolation for us, but in our case, it's much too late, everyone is already deeply disappointed.
Last week was exciting. Three major arrests and one hunger strike. Three exclamations of "we are innocent" and lawyers who say the nicest things. Seen so many times already. But one thing is extremely interesting. Detail is God, he used to say Cider.
This is a deceiving time. A "transition jacket" is required. In Podgorica, when you go outside, you don't know if you're going to get scalded or if the wind is going to blow and you're going to freeze. There is a light "transition jacket" for this very purpose. Usually it is what they call "vindjakna" which is a wonderful combination of the word "wind", of course the English word for wind and our word "jacket". Some shorten the word by one letter, so you can also hear "vidjakna", which completely loses its meaning.
That jacket is worn over the arm more than we put it on and button it up. Its function is "if needed". But recently those jackets have served a purpose. When the fantastic three were arrested last week, it was interesting to see the foxes covering themselves with jackets or "coats" for similar purposes.
Why would anyone cover the cuffs? Many innocent people raise their hands up, show that they are wearing handcuffs because they are defiant, because they are saying by this act that being handcuffed is a disgrace and a shame. Our team doesn't have that skill, they are hiding. They don't want people to see them handcuffed.
They don't mind being arrested for (potential) wrongdoing. They are ashamed that they have fallen, that their image of untouchables is crumbling. Handcuffs on the hands of innocent people is a great strength, it gives them élan and they are proud that the innocent are persecuted. But the team that hides the handcuffs, who knows what they are hiding.
How good it would be if they raised their hands Katnić, Lazović or Perovic, that they shouted, even cursed, spat, despised force, but these are situations in which there is no foiling, rebellion and defiance cannot be feigned in those circumstances. They covered their hands and handcuffs with jackets, to make it look like they just walked with those policemen hand in hand. They want their image and perception in the public not to be crowned. What an absurdity, what a comedy.
And Katana is under lock and key. He didn't hide, he looked broken, people pity him because in all likelihood he was more of a useful pawn than thrown far in some strategic planning. But his moves hurt some hard. By all accounts, he didn't fare too badly either while doing bad things.
They all have their fingers in honey, involved in who knows what. Let's hope someone has the courage, honor, perseverance and experience to untangle it all. These arrests are probably only the first step, because if one of them ever starts talking, many masks and phantoms will be ordered, cameramen and journalists will work 24 hours a day, and Spuž would be narrow.
If it happens that someone is arrested, then he humanly says "I did, I did this and that". That should be embraced, because it is not good for the psyche of our dear citizens to arrest so many, so innocent and blameless people who were "just doing their job".
