"Darkness from the streets of Nikšić moved into the Nikšić Theater, where they obviously do not see reality, so, without being ashamed, they find justifications for the scandalous statement of artistic director Janko Jelic, who said that violence against women is a well-worn topic and that women and those that discriminate. We just wonder where the human and moral strength comes from to say that the story of violence against women is a matter of aesthetics," said the press release of OO DPS Nikšić.
They also ask themselves "how small do you have to be to place this shame in the context of aesthetics".
"And they are not the only ones who tried to throw dust in the eyes of citizens, Kovačević also did it yesterday, qualifying Jelic's shameful speech as a problem in communication and thanking him for opening a polemic on this issue. They also add that while the management of the Nikšić Theater "forbids" plays that talk about important social problems and serve to raise awareness, "in Nikšić there is room for St. Sava feasts".
