The Croatian Community of Artists in Austria is organizing the "Vienna in Spring" festival in Austria from April 19 to 21, and in addition to writers from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany and Austria, a Montenegrin poet will also participate. Boris Jovanović Kastel, a Mediterranean gospar who has been sailing on the waves of poetry for decades.
"This poetry festival is held for the third year in a row and always delights both the poets and the audience. At the Festival itself, several book promotions will be held, poems will be read at different locations in the city, where the poets will have the opportunity to get to know the center of Vienna through a pleasant walk. The program itself will be accompanied by a musical part, so this year guests will have the opportunity to enjoy jazz and classical music performances. Every Festival we have an honored guest, and this year it is the writer Boris Jovanović Kastel from Montenegro. We are extremely pleased with the international cooperation, which brings together people from various countries, who share a love for poetry", said the director of the Croatian Union of Artists in Austria, a poet. Ana Vrcić Oršolić.
According to her, this year's edition of the Festival will gather 25 poets, and will be held in the premises of the wine cellars "Schlumberger Kellerwelten", as well as in the premises of the Academic Community in Vienna.
"As my poetic and life fate is the Mediterranean, with its swirls of civilization in me, I am glad that it has been shown for the umpteenth time, also at this Festival, that the Mediterranean is the most polyglot sea of all, because its poetics transcends its own borders in a geographical sense spreading them endlessly, and every poetry is the last barricade of defense against the transient", pointed out Kastel.
The Association Croatian Community of Artists in Austria has existed since 2017.
