Exhibition of the works of the great Montenegrin artist Mijo Mijušković will be officially opened today in Podgorica, at 19 pm in the Gallery of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Montenegro (MSUCG).
In cooperation with the "ForA" gallery from Berlin, exhibits from the collection will be presented at the exhibition Natalia Pervak. The curators of the exhibition will speak at the opening Nikolina Zuber and others Nikola Markovic, while on behalf of the "ForA" gallery, he will address the audience Olga Lystsova.
In the text of the monograph accompanying the exhibition Boris von Brauchitsch he wrote that sometimes only a minimal intervention is enough, which Mijušković impressively shows, so that even those completely abstract objects become bodies, through just a few accents.
Brauchitsch also points out that the secret of Mijušković's creativity is a deep connection with the primitive and with nature, which is very vividly depicted in the raw parts of his numerous sculptures, and the contribution of geological coincidence is also visible, which is not lost, despite the artist's technical bravado.
"Nevertheless, Mijušković always gives her the greatest respect, because nature is never trivialized, never belittled, never tamed. It's just about bringing it to the surface. Drawing on the surface of the body, arteries, textures, colors. The artist, of course, also manages to prove to us the existence of aliens without any problems. Because under his hands, even meteorites wake up to a completely unexpected life," says Brauchitsch.
The exhibition will be open to the public until May 23.
