Feature-length documentary film "Once upon a Family", director and screenwriter Sead Šabotić, producer Bojana Radulović (Code Blue Production), will have its world premiere at this year's International Documentary Film Festival BELDOCS 2024, as part of the international competitive selection.

The film was shot in the locations of the municipalities of Podgorica, Nikšić, Herceg Novi, while most of the film was shot in the territory of the municipality of Plužine. The film's protagonists are: director Sead Šabotić, Dragan Blečić i Gorcin Bojanic.

"Due to the covid-19 pandemic crisis, the director lost contact with Gorčin, the film's protagonist. Together with his friend, he takes us on a journey through his vision of Gorčin's past and its social and emotional context. "Looking for Gorčinov, the director is looking for his own identity," the synopsis of the film states.

The project was selected and presented at the BELDOCS Academy 2019, after which it received the support of the Film Center of Montenegro in the competition for the production of a feature-length documentary film in the same year. The project was also developed through the prestigious European workshop Ex Oriente (International training for the development and financing of creative documentary film based in Prague).

In addition to the support of the Film Center of Montenegro, the project was realized with the help of the Municipality of Plužine, as well as the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, the Komanski Most Institution and the Montenegrin Cinematheque.

He is the director of photography Ivan Cojbašić, and they sign the sound Aleksandar Brajović, Antonio Toni Andric, Stevan Masnec i Slobodan Mihajlovic. She did the editing Mina Petrović.
