Miloš Kecojević from Nikšić has been writing poetry and prose for years and preserves tradition and cultural heritage through the written word. He continued this with the latest book "Father's Teaching", which was promoted in Nikšić's "Zahumlje".
In the book "Father's Teaching" there are 11 stories and ten epic-lyrical poems in which Kecojević, according to the reviewer It saves Bajović, continues "to search for the native past, collecting grains of truth about many events, about negative and positive characters".
"Where the categorical notions of good and evil, the problems of moral crisis, the question of humanity and inhumanity are intertwined. In his new stories, Kecojević preserves the traditional values of his race, its norms, rules, customs, condemns human malice and jealousy, exalts nobility and goodness," said Bajović.
He said that the father's science gives tone and color to stories, illuminates the collective through the prism of the individual, affirms man and the human good, which helps the author to unravel the story, shift the center of gravity from one space to another, thus making it interesting".
"The innovation and specificity of Kecojević's new book is also reflected in the language and use of archaisms, forgotten words, phrases, coins...Thus, the language gains a depth whose basic meaning tends to the beauty of style and understanding of syntactic relationships between words. All in all, one gets the impression that Kecojević managed to make a new step forward in his creativity with his 'father's teaching'," concluded Bajović.
Mr Slavko Milić he said that "Father's Teaching" is a new achievement in the spirit of the old glory of Miloš Kecojević, "an ephemeral transient in the world of the written word and a prisoner of the never-ephemeral, archaic, lyrical, epic and prose narration", who immortalized his father, "building him a temple he never forgets". .
"Through the book, Kecojević leaves a valuable pledge to the readers, and to his descendants as a lesson on how and in what way to live, what not to do and how to deal with what has been unjustly done," Milić said.
Kecojević's narrative process relies on the rich heritage of realistic prose with humorous intonation, he added, while in his stories, history, legend, fiction, reality, the ecstasies of collective memory and the relativism of life's reality intertwine.
"Kecojević's narrative world is firmly based on customs and beliefs and clearly indicates that a man cannot escape from the events that life brings...These stories provide answers to eternal life questions about the meaning of existence," Milić pointed out.
Kecojević is through stories and poems, according to his words Ilija Bajović, showed the life of our ancestors, their struggle, ups and downs, but he also "paid special attention to family relationships where it can be clearly seen that the family was the main and only support for our ancestors".
Snežana Pejović Ratković believes that Kecojević strives to fuse history and spiritual heritage into one, to "bring the breath of the past and the present to a new level through storytelling, giving it the stamp of all time".
"Kecojević strives to convey to the people and give away a part of our cultural and historical treasure. The interpretation of the national spirit and loyalty to the national being, foundation and roots is set as a task. From the patriarchal environment and Christian principles, Kecojević brings to the environment a simple and liberated culture of storytelling. Such storytelling and poetry are a reflection of his spiritual being and, almost, his already recognizable style", Pejović Ratković pointed out and read part of the review by Dr. Marijana Terić.
"Kecojević, the custodian of our linguistic and cultural heritage, i.e. the custodian of the past and visionary of the future, creates a poetic world, an image of national identity based on the values of the patriarchal environment in which he grew up," wrote Terić.
In the words of the speaker, the audience had the opportunity to see for themselves through fragments from the book he read Miro Nikolic.
The author of "Father's Science" thanked everyone who helped the book to see the light of day, but also to be presented, to the speakers, the audience, and especially to his family, and ended his short address with a poem, which, like the book, is dedicated to his father.
The promotion of the book was organized by the "Vladimir Mijušković" Literary Association, which, together with the Municipality of Plužine, is the publisher of the book.
