Locals and restaurateurs ask the Municipality of Cetinje and the National Park to do their job better.
Road, water and bad management of Lake Skadar are the main problems highlighted by locals and restaurateurs from Rijeka Crnojević. The local tourist organization is still satisfied with the summer season.
They expect the season to last in September, and a good introduction is Rijeka Night on Saturday.
An attractive picnic spot, Rijeka Crnojevića attracts tourists again this summer.
"This is a very beautiful place, especially the bridge, but also everything else. Now we are going by boat to Virpazar. By the way, in Montenegro we ride bicycles, we stayed in Budva, so we organize trips around Montenegro," said a tourist from the Czech Republic.
Although they do not have official data, the Cetinje tourist organization is satisfied with the number of tourists who visited Rijeka Crnojevica this summer.
"The plan is to install two info points on the territory of Rijeka, Crnojević and Njeguš, but what I can say is that there is a lot of interest from tourists. I expect that this locality will live longer than the very peak of the summer season," said Marko Vujanović, from Tourist Organizations (TO) of Cetinje.
However, the locals say that there are no more crowds like 7-8 years ago. The main problems are roads, water and electricity, and they are angry with the Municipality of Cetinje and the Skadar Lake National Park.
"The roads are not mowed, they are not fixed, how can someone come who drives all day on the road, he thinks it's a one-way street all the time. We don't have water, we have electricity and we don't, and thunder, we don't have a single trash can on the bottom promenade, and we don't have one on the upper one either. Both are only there when a fee needs to be paid, when a tribute needs to be taken, when we need to be given, nothing," said Marko Ražnatović from Rijeka Crnojevića.
"Now they started to mow the road, so when the season ends, then we mow the road. The national park, these are people who do nothing, really do nothing, it's a shame to cry, they did evil as far as the lake is concerned. They don't pay attention is fishing, there is no more fish stock," said Jovan Stijepović, the owner of the restaurant.
The authorities admit some of the problems, but say they are solving them.
"The road cuts towards Rijeka Crnojevića, it is being maintained, the water problem is a problem that has been plaguing Rijeka Crnojevića for many years. Is there any indication that this water problem will be solved soon? I expect that it will," said Vujanović.
Czech tourists say that in our country they come across ugly scenes on the side of the road.
"You have a really beautiful nature, but there is garbage everywhere, it doesn't look nice," said a tourist from the Czech Republic.
Because of the problem with the shortage of fish, restaurateurs make jokes out of helplessness.
"We want to get aquariums, at least for us to see, at least for our children to see what that fish looks like," said Stijepović.
Fish and wine will be on Saturday from 19:XNUMX.
"We are organizing the fifth Rijeka Night, an event consisting of a free tasting of fish specialties, beer and wine, followed by a music program from 20 p.m. to 23 p.m.," Vujanović said.
On Saturday from 23 pm to midnight, due to the return of visitors, traffic from Rijeka Crnojevića to the highway will be in one direction only.
