Roger Waters, one of the founders of the British rock group "Pink Floyd", urged not to vote for "neo-fascists", which, in his opinion, are the presidents of the USA and Brazil, Donald Trump and Jair Bolsonaro.
"Donald Trump? I don't want to waste my precious breathing for that disgusting guy," said the British musician in Montevideo, where he is due to hold a concert today.
Waters (75) is scheduled to speak at the "Palestine and Human Rights Today" event. He spoke for a long time about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, assessing that the Palestinians "have no rights, and the rest of the world does nothing."
The musician said that Israel "never wanted nor does it now want a Palestinian state."
The former bass guitarist of "Pink Floyd" is on tour in South America, where he will perform in Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile and Peru.
Last year, Waters released his first album after 25 years, on which there are songs with direct allusions to Trump, whose politics he strongly opposes.
