Mia Kraljević Ćalasan, the director of the NGO 4Future, which deals with education within the Electronic Sports Association of Montenegro and organizing gaming conferences, was voted for the board of directors at the General Meeting of the European e-Sports Federation (EEF).

Kraljević Ćalasan was appointed in front of the Electronic Sports Association of Montenegro, and for the next four years she will work on the development of e-sports in the EEF and help the growth of e-sports and gaming in Montenegro, the Adria region and Europe.

"This is a great success for our Association, which has done great things in recent years to target Montenegro as an e-sport and gaming destination, and we hope that we will continue at this pace," said SESCG president Filip Šoć.

He pointed out that it is very important to have someone from Montenegro on the board of the European Federation.

"Now everything we said - that we are the leader in Europe in the world of e-sports and gaming, makes sense. I think that from that position it is possible to influence the strengthening of esports and gaming here and in the region even more", adds Šoć.

As someone who dedicated his work in the gaming industry to education, Kraljević Ćalanas' primary job, Šoć is sure, in the European Federation will be dedicated to this field.

"What we do in Montenegro and spread in the Adria region, we can spread to Europe. Especially if you take into account that certain countries already have some programs of their own, which with good communication and organization can be created under one umbrella organization and offered as such to all countries in Europe. However, we must not forget that education in e-sports and gaming is the future of this industry", he believes.

The new president of the EEF is Andrzej Krasnički, former president of the Olympic Committee of Poland and a prominent member of the European Olympic Committee, and the interlocutor of Vijesti is convinced that the newly elected president will contribute to the even faster growth of e-sports in Europe with his participation in the work of the EEF, and prepare the European federation to participate in the Mediterranean Games in Italy in 2025 and the European Olympic Games in Turkey in 2027, and that they will achieve better cooperation with world federations.

Representatives of 44 European countries participated in the AGM of the European e-Sports Federation, and in addition to Kraljević Ćalasan, Sami Kaidi (Sweden), Elin Jojung Moen (Norway), Boban Totovski (Macedonia), Karol Cagan (Slovakia), Chester King were also elected to the board. (United Kingdom).

Board representatives had the opportunity to visit the palace of the President of Poland and talk to Andrzej Duda, who gave support to the EEF for the further development and progress of e-sports in Europe and hosting the European Federation for the next four years in Warsaw. This is a step forward for the Polish eSports Federation, which last year hosted this competition for the first time in the history of eSports as part of the European Olympic Games.
