Pamela Anderson is returning to the big screen. The star of the series "Watchmen of the Beach" will play in the remake of the cult comedy "The Naked Gun", and Liam Neeson will play one of the main roles alongside her.
The currently untitled remake based on the series of comedies that parodied crime films from the 80s and 90s will be directed by Akiva Šafer.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but The Hollywood Reporter says Neeson will play Frank Drebin, the inept detective originally played by Leslie Nielsen, who manages to somehow solve cases in incredible ways. Anderson will play the woman the detective is in love with.
"Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane will produce the film alongside Erica Huggins.
