In Mexico, bullfighting is taking place again in the world's largest arena, for the first time since the court ban was lifted.
"Fiesta Brava", as the bullfight is called in Spanish, will return to Plaza Mexico in the capital of the country from January 28 after a break of almost 600 days, the organizer announced on Thursday, reports dpa.
Bullring has released promotions for upcoming bullfights on the X Network.
Animal rights activists succeeded in court in June 2022 to temporarily stop bullfighting in the Mexican capital.
However, the Supreme Court lifted the suspension.
Opponents of bullfighting condemned the suffering and killing of the bulls used in the ring.
Plaza Mexico seats more than 41.000, while the world-famous Las Ventas bullring in Madrid seats just under 24.000 spectators.
