Former rapper, and today a successful DJ and producer Masturbator he decided to join forces to Brac Subotic aka Wicked Ras and will present the joint single "Take a stand" today on the YouTube channel. It is interesting that these two musicians have collaborated before, so this track is another interesting project they created together.

"Masturbator and I have been collaborating for a decade and a half, on several projects. He played this bit for me sometime at the end of 2022, telling me that he doesn't hear anyone else on vocals but me. That's how he felt melodically, which is great and actually speaks about his hearing as well as the experience of my voice, knowing it beforehand", explains Subotić at the beginning of the conversation with Vijesti.

The track, as he says, is titled "Take a stand", and like every previous project, it carries a clear message, quite direct, related to the reality we are witnessing.

"Masturbeator did the mix and master. The text was written by me. I was immediately 'sucked in' by the song, so to speak, since I normally feel its bits well. They are unusual and maybe too hard for some people's taste, but I have a motto that reads - there is no bit that I can't get into', so I was light on that occasion even now. By the way, Masturbeator is a very progressive beatmaker and producer, present on the scene for 20 years," notes Wicked Ras, who is known for his harder sound.

However, even though he is a DJ and producer, Masturbeater's works, which rely on electro sound, are also harder. When asked how their common views on music fit together, Subotić answers:

“We met a long time ago, as I said. Back in 2008, we achieved the first click, when my then-band performed as a musical accompaniment to him who was 'throwing rhymes' under the alias Jester. We sparred at the start and a groove was created that lasts", claims Subotić, who has been on the scene for decades and has already shown several times that he can swim equally well in many genres. He says about how constant musical research improves him as a musician:

"I've been serving art for 30-odd years, straight. Every expression, outside of my parent band, is just a step forward into a new, fresh experience that only and strictly ennobles me. I feel and know that I swim well in most directions, which the audience and critics recognize," he boasted.

All that he does outside the parent band Vrpca will certainly not distract him from the parent project.

“I almost released a single with the Knowhere2run studio crew, which just goes to show how much I'm still constantly interested in hip hop. As well as the other side of the coin that Masturbator and I are currently marketing. The ribbon is the pivot, it is my home. Miloš, Zap and Vil are there. And one woman too," said the musician.
