During a performance at the Coachella festival, Blur frontman Damon Albarn said from the stage that it was "probably the last concert" of the Brit pop legend.
He added that the decision was not made because of the festival audience's rather lukewarm reaction to Blur's performance, saying that he thought Coachella was beautiful.
At Blur's previous performance at this festival, a week earlier, the frontman tried to stir up the audience, so during the performance of the hit "Girls & Boys" he said "you'll never see us again, so you might as well sing".
Despite the fact that they were not "on the same wavelength" with the audience, Albarn later said that he had a good time that night and that he loves the Coachella festival. The famous musician probably wasn't surprised, judging by his statement to KROQ ahead of the show.
"Coachella is strange when it comes to the audience. They're often like they're on their own special planet," said Albarn.
