The famous American singer-songwriter Johnny Cash will receive a new posthumous album, which will contain previously unreleased material. The release titled "Songwriter" will be released on June 28, and is based on demos that Cash recorded in 1993. As a preview of the album, the single "Well Alright" was released.
John Carter Cash, son of John and June Carter Cash, is responsible for the release of the album, who conceived and organized the release, and was signed as a co-producer along with David Ferguson. He invited musicians with whom the famous country musician had collaborated before - guitarist Marty Stewart, bassist Dave Roe and drummer Pete Abbott - to play their parts for the album, supplementing the recordings that consisted only of vocals and Johnny Cash's acoustic guitar.
There will be 11 songs on the album, and in addition to the ones mentioned, many other musicians, such as Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys), Vince Gill, Waylon Jennings...
