The final contest for Miss Tourism will be held on December 23 in China, and Montenegro will be represented Andrea Nikolic.
Andrea is a second-year student at the Faculty of Law in Podgorica, and she was one of the finalists in the Miss Montenegro pageant.
This year, the finals of the Miss World Tourism pageant will be held in the People's Republic of China, in Fujian Province, on the coast of the Taiwan Strait. It is this province that has a rich historical and cultural heritage, but is especially known as the starting point of the famous maritime Silk Road.
Andrea leaves for China today, and during her thirteen-day stay in this country, 80 finalists from all over the world, accompanied by the organizers, will visit the tourist attractions of Fujian province, with numerous places that are on the UNESCO list, attend humanitarian shows and other events, where they will represent tourism potential , history and cultural identity of the countries they come from.
The idea to apply for the pageant for Miss came, as he says, spontaneously.
"Since I was a child, my parents made education a priority, so my excellent success and status as a student of the generation through elementary school, and later in high school, was imperative. They directed me to other activities, whether it was sports, volunteering or modeling, but of course, only on the condition that all school duties were completed on time. I became interested in modeling after, as a child, I had the opportunity to be a model for my aunt, who at that time started to do photography professionally. I have fond memories of that period, in the form of my daily insistence that she take photos of me, and her inability to refuse me even though I was an extremely hardworking child", says Jovanović about her beginnings, who after a few years found her parent agency and began to work more seriously. she has been modeling as much as her school duties have allowed her to.
"Through my involvement in the world of fashion, I came up with the idea to apply for the contest for Miss. However, I am only now aware of the obligation that this title carries, and I think that the greatest honor is that I have the opportunity to be the ambassador of my country", notes Nikolić.
The goal of the Miss Tourism competition is not only beauty, but also the promotion of the country's tourist potential, so Andrea promises to do her best to present Montenegro, its natural beauty, rich history and culture in China.
"I will have the honor to play the national game - the Montenegrin oro in our national costume, which was given to me by the Montenegrin National Theater. I am especially proud of the choreography he designed for me Branislav Lukovac, choreographer of the veteran folklore ensemble KIC Budo Tomović. In the preparations before leaving, I was helped by the NTO of Montenegro, the TO of Podgorica and Budva, with whose help I prepared gifts and souvenirs for the organizers and humanitarian auctions. In cooperation with Nikola Čović we prepared a video through which we tried to highlight part of the tourist potential and national identity of Montenegro. In the national costume segment, I will have the opportunity to show an enchanting dress Senke Tujković which will be a striking presentation of our homeland. My preparations are mainly based on education in order to present our country as well as possible, and I think I have approached that task seriously. So I believe that I will present Montenegro in the best possible way. I was lucky to establish cooperation with excellent fashion designers, above all great people Majom Jokić, Lidija Burić i Anđelo Raičević, the owner of the Clara Couture brand, who provided me with dresses for the final evening," reveals Nikolić.
During their stay in Fujian, until the final evening, the girls will be supervised by an expert jury in order to get a complete impression of the girls, above all about their behavior, intelligence, education, manners, abilities and talents, since the most beautiful girl in the world who represents the tourism potential of her country should that it possesses many more qualities than just physical appearance. As these girls represent the natural beauty of the countries they come from, what the competition organizers insist on is the natural beauty of the participating girls.
"I am going to the competition with the aim of representing my country with pride and dignity. I believe that beauty without a cover has no meaning, and that knowledge, education and talents are what give it meaning. Accordingly, one of my goals is to serve as a positive example to all young girls and to tell them that these are qualities that are worth nurturing, because unlike beauty, they are not fleeting," she says.
