A small device that can consume a lot of electricity. Follow the advice of experts, because you will be able to save a few euros every month.
When we carefully look at the electricity bill, it is clear that electricity is most often what "hits our pocket" the most.
When you think of things that consume a lot of electricity in your household, you probably don't think of the humble router for connecting to the Internet.
But if you leave it on all day, it will use a lot more electricity than you think.
Therefore, before buying, pay attention to the energy efficiency of the router and make sure that it consumes as little energy as possible when it is turned on and in sleep mode, it says N1 Slovenia.
The German Federal Environmental Protection Agency (UBA) says this is especially important if the router cannot be switched off because it is also used for a telephone line.
If this is the case, experts advise that you consider purchasing a router that allows you to turn off the wireless network when not in use.
