But if you leave it on all day, it will use a lot more electricity than you think.
Therefore, before buying, pay attention to the energy efficiency of the router and make sure that it consumes as little energy as possible when it is turned on and in sleep mode, it says N1 Slovenia.
The German Federal Environmental Protection Agency (UBA) says this is especially important if the router cannot be switched off because it is also used for a telephone line.
If this is the case, experts advise that you consider purchasing a router that allows you to turn off the wireless network when not in use.
