Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Thursday that the risk of military incidents along his country's border with Ukraine is quite high, reports the Russian state news agency RIA.
Lukashenko added that neighboring Poland should not expect aggressive actions from Belarus.
Lukashenko was quoted as saying that Belarus had nevertheless moved several combat-ready battalions from the Vitebsk region, located along the border with Russia, to the country's western borders.
According to him, 120 Ukrainian soldiers were deployed on the border between Ukraine and Belarus, and he also claims that around 50 spy planes were monitoring that border every week.
