The special department of the High Court in Belgrade accepted the request of the Prosecutor's Office for organized crime there and gave an order to issue a warrant for Dusko Saric, who is suspected of being a member of the criminal group of his own brother Darko, writes Novosti.
"Mlađe Šarić was ordered into custody, and the arrest warrant, through the Ministry of Justice, was also forwarded to the national bureau of Interpol," said the media.
According to the Kurir, Šarić said that he had not received the summons for the hearing and that he was in the hospital. He states that he will properly address the competent authorities in Serbia when he leaves the health facility.
"As a person against whom an international warrant has been issued, I need to make a public announcement and say that I am available to the competent authorities. I am currently in the hospital, because after the arrest of my brother Darko Šarić, my state of health deteriorated due to shock and stress. I have the medical documentation in order delivered to the Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, and in addition, two officials were looking for me in the family home at an address in Serbia," Šarić told Pink.
He adds that he was not served with the indictment.
"At that time, no official person mentioned to the security guard, who is in front of the house, that a warrant had been issued for me, nor handed over any summons or document from the court," says Šarić.
As he says, he found out from the media that the state authorities in Serbia are looking for him.
"I have nothing to hide and I am sure that time will show that I am telling the truth, which I will repeat before the competent authorities. As soon as the doctors assess my health condition, I will personally contact the institutions to answer all their questions. I will also mention that I have never been convicted, I have already proven to the court in Montenegro that I am innocent, and as such I spent four years in custody," said Šarić, as reported by Kurir.
