A tunnel dug under the High Court in Podgorica leads to an apartment opposite the court building, which was rented two months ago, "Vijesti" has learned from the Police Directorate.
According to the same information, investigators have determined who is the owner of the apartment, and they are currently looking for those who stayed there.
The information to "Vijesti" was confirmed by the Minister of the Interior, Filip Adžić, who said that the tunnel leads to an apartment near the Court.
Adžić told journalists that this event is a kind of attack on the system and the state.
"This is also something that we announced in the previous period that could happen, and that is that some people who have been mentioned for a long time as holders of future power have certain types of connections with criminal structures, which is certainly after an intense struggle against organized crime and corruption, which was recognized by the citizens in the previous year and a half, I would say that it was a little shaken and somewhere the wind was given to those criminal structures that there could be a situation where everything goes back to the period when Montenegro was ruled by criminal structures", said Adžić.
He added that everything is going in the right direction and that "we can get tangible evidence very quickly."
"This is an action which is well planned and organized and which was prepared for months and which looks like action movies", said Adžić.
He announced that the police will do everything to find the perpetrators. He says that inventory of materials in the depot is in progress.
"Currently, there are no persons who have been prosecuted, but very soon we expect that statements will be taken from individuals as well," said Adžić.
The President of the High Court in Podgorica, Boris Savić, said at today's press conference on the occasion of the search of the depot of that court, where evidence is kept, that a tunnel was dug under the court building to the depot.
