Pljevljak Duško Šarić surrendered to the Serbian police this morning, after which he was taken to a special detention unit, "Vijesti" has learned.
His defense attorney, lawyer Radoslav Baćović, told "Vijesta" that Šarić voluntarily made himself available to the judicial authorities of Serbia.
"He will be brought before a judge for investigation, after which we will see what further steps we will take," Baćović said.
Šarić is accused of being part of the criminal group of his brother Darko Šarić, and on July 19, 2022, the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime of Serbia issued an order to expand the investigation against the group, which, in addition to the two Šarićs, also included Danilo Odović, Aleksandar Bošković, Danilo Stojanović and Milutin Radovanović.
Darko Šarić and several suspects were arrested in April 2022. Tom Pljevljak is accused of having organized the murder of a close associate of Milan Milovac, known as Cigla, in Ecuador. Part of the members of that criminal group were arrested in Croatia - then Petar Ćosić and Manuel Vulić, suspected of having participated in the liquidation of Milovac, were handcuffed.
The Pljevljak criminal group is also accused of trafficking in narcotics and organizing the planting of an explosive device under the car of witness Goran Nikolašević...
Less than an hour after Šarić entered the police station, Milan Vučinić from Podgorica surrendered to the inspectors there.
He surrendered to the police accompanied by his defense attorney, lawyer Bojan Ječmenica.
Ječmenica told "Vijesta" that Vučinić will be heard tomorrow on the motion to order custody.
