Two tourist wooden boats were set on fire in Virpazar in the night between Thursday and Friday.
For now, an unknown person set fire to the Golden Frog company's ship owned by Željko Marković, and the fire spread to another vessel owned by Đorđij Pekić, Primorski portal writes.
The ships were set on fire around 2 a.m.
The owner's mother saw that the ship was on fire and prevented further damage. Members of the Marković family and neighbors were the first to put out the fire.
"Someone knew that I was in Belgrade due to health reasons and took advantage of the situation to set fire to the boat. It is one of the first tourist boats on Lake Skadar. Wooden boats are an attraction on Lake Skadar, the boats with which we preserve tradition. We are engaged in this business as a family, we do everything legally. We are serious about business, we participate in fairs and promote the Skadar Lake National Park through platforms. More and more tourists are coming to Virpazar because of our tours. The only ones we bother are illegal boat owners in Virpazar. There is crime in Virpazar," said Marković.
